Supertypical view of Tokyo.

Yamada River

The land on the left/east is land reclaimed through that recycling project.

Another shot of the expressway alongside the river.

Waterfront and restraunt boat.

ooh I just liked those ads but they turned out kind of small.

Line of houses directly underneath train lines.

Not sure what I was aiming for here...

One of Tokyo's many canals.

These little shrines are tucked in almost any place imaginable. No matter the quality or density of housing, I would often find these tucked between the buildings.

mm fruit. sry ^^

Hmm this building looked fantastic in real life but terrible on this picture.

haha.

A typical residential street. Main avenues set apart huge blocks which are traversed by these. Pedestrians, bikers, and autos all share that.

A good percentage of corner buildings Used curved architecture.

One of the large avenues mentioned earlier.

This is supposed to be a bridge but looks more like legos to me :p

Back on the Yamada waterfront, further south and towards the Sea of Japan. (also closer to central Tokyo)

I lika :)

Lain...

Man I got unlucky with this shot. The stree sign up there was blinking all sorts of red but was mostly dark for this shot. Zoom in real close and you can see how freaking complicated it is. Some of the roads in Tokyo are a lot more convulated than even LA

I noticed several buildings by waterways with this sort of architecture, I'm not really sure why. Also note that this building has office at the top and residential at the bottom. I would have thought the reverse would be more desireable, but either way they get the nonexistant commute.

Ooh I like that view. Too bad I was on the wrong side of the bridge.

Another shot of the building a pic up.

hmm don't remember this.

An inner city basketball court. The differences in the wealth of the different areas was as prominent in parks as anywhere else.

Haha I just thought that looked cool.

Avenue leading up to a cool looking bridge. The buildings in the distance across the bridge were on a particularly upper class island - the people there actually looked and acted like all my stereotypes about rich uppity people.

At the cool bridge.

Looking out from the cool bridge towards Ginza.

Moped delivery - and flashy advertising. I will undoubtadly make use of these...

You can see sound barriers from both sides in this picture.

Nice view :) I believe thats Triton square off to the left...

OK ya it is. LOL.

Another shot of it. Wow I just realized I was obsessed with this place before I even got there.

One of the really wide streets near Triton Square.

Pretty buildings, pretty plants...

A back entrance.

Triton directory.

Front entryway (wow this was a terrible job on the shot. oh well)

A shot of the gardens.

Main lobby (looked lot better in real life : /)

Nother lobby shot.

Looking to the towers from the gardens.

haha cool.

Just an interesting design.

I caught the shutterbug disease I think.

The central wholesale market (Tsukiji), with Ginza and Tokyo Tower in the background.

Tsukiji again but looking NW.

This ones sad... Thats a highschool, and there is what read like a suicide note in english scrawled against the wall...

OK that building is square. Thats tiny! but cool looking.

guhahah nice.

I think that building in the distance is the most impressive looking in Tokyo. Its located in the S10 Shiodome.

A construction site in Ginza.

This same interesting design can be found around all the national government buildings in Tokyo.

Cool building, free net cafe by yahoo broadband. Too bad they packed it up that night...

wtf? ok I'm going to have to work on the night time images. I've been doing this for a couple hours now, so I'll come back to it later.
